What Is My Child S Blood Test Report Suggestive Of?

My 4 year old boy has high white blood cells (17.0 K/uL) and high platelets (471 K/uL). He has been sick lately (asthma related), but the doctor wanted to check his blood since she thought maybe he had low iron because he looked very white. We are waiting for her to respond, but we wanted to know if these levels should be a cause for concern?

Hi,

For your 4 yr old the TLC is slightly high and high platelets also they can be due to asthma or mild infection. You can inform the results to your pediatrician then after examining your child treatment plan can be decided. Take care!

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vandana Khare
