What Is My Brain Scan Result Suggestive Of?

My mother had a brain scan. She is 83. It said she had generalised involutional changes, moderate chronic ischemic change and a calcified meningioma of benign appearance. We all think she is in early stages of dementia but her long time dr tells her shes ok. What does this mean?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the brain scan report you have mentioned.
At the age of 83 years generalized involution changes are commonly seen so nothing to worry about this.
Calcified meningioma is also not worrisome at this age.
Chronic ischemic changes are pathological and problematic at this age.
This can be the reason for her dementia.
She may need blood thinners like espirin, clopidogrel etc.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your mother. Thanks.
