What Is Meaning Of Predominance Of Gram Variable Coccobacilli?
the result of my Gram stain test is "SMEAR SHOWS PREDOMINANCE OF GRAM VARIABLE COCCOBACILLI, MODERATE GRAM POSITIVE COCCI IN SINGLY, IN PAIRS AND IN CLUSTERS, FEW GRAM NEGATIVE BACILLI WITH MANY LEUKOCYTES AND EPITHELIAL CELLS" what does this means..Thank you

The test report shows presence of bacteria in the sample.
These bacterias are coccobacilli, cocci and bacilli.
These names are according to the shape of bacteria- cocci are round shaped bacteria, bacilli are rod shaped and coccobacilli are oval shaped bacteria.
Some of these bacteria are gram positive and some are gram negative.
The exact nature of the bacteria will be determined after performing culture for the bacteria.
Drug sensitivity can be done after performing culture studies.
