If you are giving her green leafy vegetables regularly, this could be a cause for her green stool. second thing is any supplements.Vitamin and other supplements may contained colored agents and it may cause green colored stools. If she take any one of these, then it is considered to be normal and can be return to normal stool color after stoppage of the supplement or green leafy vegetables. Our bile is usually green in color. As it travels through the intestine turns into brown. That is why our stool is brown in color. If your child have diarrhea or food poisoning or use of laxatives can decrease the transit time of bile . This may end in non conversion of bile from green to brown and the stool will be brown in color.
