What Is Cylindrical Number In Terms Of Eye Power?
I checked my eyes last yr and was suggested to wear glasses which was of power 0.5. After a yr , i decided to check again. After checking and dilating, it seems to be increased by 0.25 which makes to 0.75. Also doc said i may be need to be checked again on cylindrical number after checking my retina as they has problem with dilation as well...Can you please make me understand what is Cylindrical number? what kind of impact or gain i would get?

The presence of cylindrical number indicates presence of astigmatism and it needs to be corrected by use of glasses with spectacles.
The increase in the refractive power by .25 dioptres is common and need not worry about it.
It requires regular examination at least once in a year to find out any change and correction accordingly.
