Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing some upper abdominal pain at the very top of stomach in the middle. Along with that I have been having some nausea and vomitting. I have a hiatal hernia that I was diagnosed with almost 10 years ago. Could that be the problem or could there be something else wrong?
Hi, Thanks for posting your query. I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
Pain in the midline in theupper abdomen along with nausea and vomiting could be due to gastritis, peptic ulcer or pancreatitis. Hiatal hernia usually remains without any symptom. Sometimes it may cause symptoms like heartburn due to acid reflux.
For your abdominal pain, you can take omeprazole for relief. Regards, Dr.R.K
