What Is Causing Fever And Hurt In Throat?

My daughter has felt warm the last few days. Today her fever reached 100.9 and soon after she became fussy. Acting like her throat hurt. Since then I have given her tylenol twice but her temp is only going down a little bit and a few hours later its even higher. I gave her 2.5 ml almost 3 hours ago when her temp reached 101.2 now its 101.8

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that she has an acute viral infection , most commonly the common cold.

It is important to make sure that the dose of tylenol is given according to her weight, if enough is not used , then she may not respond.

During the first 24 to 48 hours, the temperature may go back up when the medication wears off.

I hope this helps
