What Is A Soft Lump Under My Breast?

Have a hard and soft lump on top of my cage underneath my left breast. It hurts when I touch it and there is bruise there. It started out as just a bump and it hurt to touch it. But now it has grown and spread out into a lump. Any ideas what it could be?

Hi,
There so many causes that can produce lump in breast like- infection lead to mastitis and cellulitis formation, trauma lead to hematoma formation, benign lesion like fibroadenoma, cyst, fibrocystic changes and cancerous lesions. Soft lump with bruise more indicating towards post traumatic inflammation. But still you need proper investigation and treatment so consult a surgeon. Some investigations are needed for diagnosis like- Physical examination, FNAC / biopsy of lump, mammogram. Follow the instructions provided by your treating doctor.
Thank you for consulting HCM.
