Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a rash on either side of my spine lower back, above waist, itchy, small bumps, red not painful. About the size of a dollar bill. Moderate itch. Using essential oils currently. I know it is not shingles or eczema. It seems to be getting a bit better. Do you have suggestions? I know it s hit of miss trying to figure skin conditions. I am on my feet a lot on concrete. Do heavy lifting at times .
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of rash on the lower back which could be due to hair follicle infection, bug bite , psoriasis, fungal infection or side effect of medication. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to clean your skin with rashes with mild soap and warm water gently , do not rub your skin , wear loose cloths , stop using any cosmetic or any skin product and take antihistamine like benadryl .I condition doesn't get well or get worse then consult dermatologist for proper evaluation of the condition . Doctor will take history and examine physically , doctor may order skin patch test or blood test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may give adrenaline short , anti viral or anti bacterial medicine depending upon the diagnosis.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
