Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello and thank you for asking!
I read your concern carefully.
Usually Vit D deficiency is associated with high parathormone levels. In these cases is recommended to correct the Vit D and than check the PTH again. If it persists high than ultrasound of the thyroid gland and a sestamibi scan is performed.
The hypoechoic foci should be defined better (the position, vascularisation and other characteristics) in order to judge about their nature.
It will be a pleasure to inform you better if you attach the results of the exams you have done until now.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta Guni
