What Is Hyperthyroidism ? Can It Cause Gynecomastia ?

I have dense hair on chest.I feel my Chest is looking like breast. My right side chest titillate sometimes. There exists some problem in my throat from 2-3 years . Something from throat like guava seeds(equal in size & color, may be small also) is coming, when I cough or hawking. This smells bad. Is it Hyperthyroidism ?? Is it the reason for gynecomastia?? What the checkups I should need to do?

Hello,
Hyperthyroidism can cause gynecomastia indirectly by changing the ratio of estrogen to testosterone. However, your symptoms are not suggestive of hyperthyroidism. The cheesy, foul smelling substance coming from your throat is from the tonsilar crypts. You should get an ENT check up to clarify this. Besides, you should undergo examination to see if you have true gynecomastia or just fat deposit. If there is true gynecomastia, then we should do few hormone tests
