What Heart Condition Can Cause Elevated Heart Rate?

What heart condition can cause elevated heart rate and death by the time you are 30? I know it is not SVT...I have SVT. But my friend told me someone had this condition and I was wondering what it could be. It is not just an elevated heart rate but a constant elevated heart rate.

Ventricular tachycardia is ? 3 consecutive ventricular beats at a rate ? 120 beats/min. Symptoms depend on duration and vary from none to palpitations to hemodynamic collapse and death. Diagnosis is by ECG. Treatment of more than brief episodes is with cardioversion or antiarrhythmics depending on symptoms. If necessary, long-term treatment is with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator. Please see the web ages for more details on Ventricular tachycardia.
