What fruits and veggies are rich in potassium for lowering BP ?

What fruits and veggies are rich in potasium for lowering blood pressure? Mine has been 120 over 70 all my life, but since about January it s been 132 over 80, which is still normal, but inching up. Should I worry? My mother had high blood pressure.

Your question is two fold. The first answer is that potassium ions are found in bananas, tomatoes ,all citrus fruits and to a lesser extent green vegetables. Secondly Potassium ions DO NOT lower the blood pressure. A low sodium chloride (table salt) intake contributes to lower a blood pressure. In any case your blood pressure is not to be concerned about yet. Hope this answers your question.
