What Does Vaginal Bleeding And Pain During Intercourse Indicate?

I and my boyfriend tried having sex however when he tried penetrating the hymen the pain was too much so we stopped. Later on I noticed some drops of blood from my vagina. Also every time I pee I feel some amount of pain. I was wondering if this means the hymen has been broken and also can a torn hymen develop an infection

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, possibility of hymen rupture is more likely.
Hymen is membrane like structure in lower part of vagina.
Due to sexual intercourse, it is broken and cause bleeding. It also develop minor injuries. So your pain and bleeding are mostly due to hymen rupture.
Pain and bleeding usually subside within 1 week.
So at present, no need to worry. If pain and bleeding persist then consult gynecologist and get done clinical examination to rule out infection.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
