What Does Urine Analysis Indicate?
hello..i have done urine analysis..and the lab report states that in microscopical examination:
Mucus : Nil
Pus cells : 3-5 /H.P.F
rbcs : 5-7 /H.P.F
crystal : Nil
epithelial cells : +
what is HPF??
and im pregnant..is having puss cells,rbcs n epithelial cells are normal during pregnancy??
i have taken supplement 2hours before im doing urine test..these are the supplement that i have taken:
1- B-complex
2- Ostematrix
3- Vita-lea
4- VitC
5-Omega Guard
does this supplement may affect the finding on my urine??

Hello
Your findings suggests urinary tract infection(UTI).
UTI is indicated by presence of pus cells and RBC in urine.
Epithelial cells are normally found in urine.It is not a matter of concern.
You need clinical correlation and investigations like routine hemogram,renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of KUB.
Nitrite test and Leukocyte esterase test can be done for confirmation of UTI.
Proper antibiotics should be prescribed after culture and sensitivity report.
You should drink plenty of fluids.
UTI is not good for pregnancy.You need immediate medical attention.
Findings are not related to your diet.
