What Does Triangular Opaque Shadow In Mid Lung Suggest?
I am 58 year old, suffering from persistant cough for last three months, x ray shows a triangular opaque shadow in mid lung right side which is persistant for three months. Treatment taken,culture is negative, bronchoscopy normal tb tests normal advise further way

I can understand your concern.
Persistent shadow on chest x ray despite taking treatment suggest possibility of lung cancer.
Bronchoscopy and culture are negative for infection like TB.
So better to get done CECT thorax (CT scan with contrast).
If this shows mass lesion then CT guided biopsy from the mass is needed foracort diagnosis.
