What Does This Uterus Ultrasound Test Result For Heavy Periods Indicate?

I have anteverted uterus measuring 137 x 67 x64mm. There is a large posterofundal fibroid measuring 52 x60 x 51mm with a subserosal extension of the fibroid. Midlline endometrial echo thickened up to 12mm at the fundus. Regular cycle these reading taken on day 12 of cycle. I have heavy periods that last 10 days + and a lot of pain. Do you think a hysterectomy will be recommended or are there other treatments these days.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Depending upon your age and certain other factors such as family (have u completed your family or you want to conceive a baby, etc) , gynaecologist will decide what to do. Subserosal fibroids cause heavy menstrual bleeding and bleeding can be controlled through medicines but for proper management surgery is the solution. Consult a gynaecologist please. Thank you.
