What Does This Urine Test Report Indicate?

My first urine sample showed trace protein, pos nitrite, mod bacteria and rare mucus, and neg urobilinogen. Second sample showed 30 ml for protein, neg nitrite, 2 for urobilinogen and many for mucus, and neg for bacteria. My WBC count is also slightly elevated at 12.3. What do I make of all this? I have no symptoms of UTI. I had HPV but was told it was not present as of same lab results.

hi
thank you for asking your query on hcm. i would like to tell you the inference of your urine test as well as i would like to suggest you something. first, positive urine nitrites suggests urinary tract infection mostly due to coliform organisms mostly E. coli. but for that you should need to do urine culture. painful and burning urination, increase frequency of urine, feeling of going for urination, fever, loin pain are few symptoms of uti. if you have any of these symptom please consult your doctor and take antibiotics. trace protein can present in uti.
second if you are not having any of these symptom then no need to worry atleast now. plenty of water, frequent urination, avoidance of tea, coffee and carbonated drinks can be followed. you can wait for few days. but both the urine samples shows amount of urine for which you have to be little careful as it is a sign of early kidney damage, hypertension. for that i would like to suggest you to consult your physician and check for hypertension, diabetes. you will need follow up urine test say after six months.
please feel free to ask any doubt.
thank you
