What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

HI doc, please can you intreprete the meaning of an ultrasound report to me (1) non gravid, slightly bulky and enlarged uterus with heterogenous myometrial echo-texture. endometrial plate is normal. (2) a solid hypo-echoic mass measuring about 27mm x 28mm in size is seen within the anterior aspect of the uterus. (3) the right ovary appears cystic and measures about 38mm x 36mm in size. (4) left adnexa, pouch of douglas are free relatively. (5) general uterine outline is inconsistent and irregular. Thanks

Your sonogram report can be interpreted as follows: 1. The uterus is enlarged as a whole with an irregular contour, most often seen with a fibroid uterus/adenomyosis. 2. There is a localized mass in the uterus, likely to be a myoma. This needs proper confirmation. 3. The right ovary has a cyst of considerable size while the left is clear. The cyst may need surgery.
