What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

I am a doctor.my wife LMP 10 April. But usg shows 5 weeks 2 days only.no fetal pole.no cardiac activity.impression.single early intrauterine gestational sac with 5 weeks 2 days.she is 30 yes old and gravid 2.no previous miscarriage.please help us with ur valuable advice.

Its due to mismatch of dates with the fetal development actually. Dates error is a better word I will use. Ultrasound is to be followed. forget about the LMP. So according to ultrasound after 3 weeks fetal cardiac activity may be seen there. Right now there is just an early gestational sac of 5+ weeks.

There is nothing wrong in this case. Just relax and keep follow up with her prenatal visits.
