Hi Good morning Sir,my sister is pregnant, our parents unaware of her condition. I took her for a scan & was given the following report. I want to know her exact condition to enable me give her the right advice as she is determined to go through a D&C. The everything apears normal, EGA at 13 weeks + 0 Days as at 31/08/2015 What s the medical interpretation of the term uterus is bulky, anteverted and gravid &Myometrial echotexture is homogeneous.
Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM. Ultrasound report of your sister you have posted says that she is pregnant with 13 weeks. Uterus features described like bulky, anteverted, gravid and homogenous echotexture of myometrium are all normal changes which takes place during pregnancy. Unfortunately, her pregnancy cannot be terminated at this stage by means of medications alone as this could be only tried for pregnancy below 10 weeks. She has to undergo 'medical termination of pregnancy' by getting admitted to the hospital strictly under medical supervision. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for proper management. Hope the information provided is clear. All the best.
