hi, i would like to inquire regarding the result of my first pap smear done a week ago DIAGNOSIS: NEGATIVE FOR INTRAEPITHELIAL LESION OR MALIGNANCY. NON-SPECIFIC INFLAMMATION - MODERATE COCCOBACILLI CONSISTENT WITH CHANGE IN BACTERIAL FLORA. What does it means???

Negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy- this means that there is no evidence of cancer seen. This is good

Non specific inflammation- there are signs of inflammation which is not linked to any specific source- non specific

Coccobacilli- no treatment is not indicated for this result
