What Does This Mycrobacterium Combo Test Panel Result Indicate?

I am a woman aged 61 yrs and suffering from acute stomach irritation for the last 6 moths. I have a dread of eating anything. I also feel weak and run down all the time. Recently I got the MYCOBACTERIUM COMBO TEST PANEL, IgG, IgA & IgM done and the report is as under

IGG 0.43, IGM 0.34, IGA 72.97 U/ML

I would be thankful if you let me know if it indicates a infection.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Mycobacterium combo test panel is a serological test done to know recent or past infection with mycobacterium tuberculosis.
When Ig M is elevated, it indicates a recent infection.
When Ig G is elevated, it indicates past infection.
However, in your test report both Ig M and Ig G are low so the test report is inconclusive.
Ig A is not related to Mycobacterium test.
In case there is clinical suspicion of tuberculosis, other investigations should be done like Mantoux test, lymph node aspiration in case there is any enlarged lymph node, sputum culture in case there is associated sputum production etc depending on the symptoms.
Mycobacterium Combo test is banned by WHO in 2010 because of erratic test results, thus other investigations are required for further work up.

Thanks and take care
