What Does This Lipid Profile Test Report Indicate?

I need a Doctor s opinion on my lipid profile. I got my blood test done and my total cholesterol was 307 and normal range on the report was 130-250. I consulted doctor and she said its okay . I don t have to take medicine,. Triglycerides is 106. HDL is 53. LDL is 232.8. VLDL cholesterol is 21.2 and normal is 7-35mg. Doctor only said to do exercise, reduce red meat , oil and spice. Is it okay like how doctor said. Coz I googled and came to know its towards high risk. I am confused. Please confirm if its high risk. What is there I can do to .

Hi!
welcome to HCM!
you've been diagnosed with high cholesterol & advised to make changes to your diet and increase your level of exercise. After a few months, if your cholesterol level will not drop, you may be advised to take cholesterol-lowering medication.

Changing your diet, stopping smoking and exercising will surely help to prevent high cholesterol developing.Eating a healthy, balanced diet that's low in saturated fats can reduce your level of LDL also.
Try to avoid the foods, advised by your doctor.Dont worry! Take care
