What Does This Fecalysis Report Indicate?

Hello doc, I have a 3 month old child now. There is a blood on his poop and according to the result of his fecalysis exam, the wbc got 1-3/hpf and the rbc got 2-4/hpf. What does it mean? I m exclusivelt breastfeeding my child. Is there any possibility to stop breastfeeding?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is not likely that the breastfeeding is related to the blood seen and it would really be best for him, if he is breast fed as much as possible.
Breast feeding is the best source of milk for babies.

It is possible that he may have a mild infection of his gastrointestinal tract which is causing the bleeding, this would be in keeping with the white cells that are seen in the stool sample

I hope this helps
