I am 34. Pcods problem was there since I was 27 but no medication was required. I went thru Ultrasound yesterday and it showed that my left ovary has thin walled clear avascular cyst 74 x 51 x 49 acros with volume of 98.20 ml. There is no evidence of torsion. Right ovary measures 34 x 20 x 19mm across with vol of 06.66 ml. it shows a thin walled clear avascular cyst 13mm across. No adexenal mass and no free fluid in pelvis.
Welcome to Health care magic. 1.Your scan report suggest there are cysts in both ovaries, volume wise left more than right. 2.The left ovarian cyst with out vasculature and separation with septa will suggest a simple cyst which needs monitoring with hormonal treatment. 3.Similar small sized cyst seen in the right ovary - it can be a dominant follicle also - watch in the followup scan. 4.Fianlly there are simple cysts in the bilateral ovaries. If there is no acute problem you can get hormonal treatment and monitor. 5.Any mass effect or pressure symptoms its good to remove through lap procedure. 6.If affordability is not an issue - you can get an MRI for better anatomical and chemical characterisation of the cyst. Good luck.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
