Whole abdomen scan done
every thing are fine except
uterun : bulky in size (90 mm x 48 mm x 47 mm). There is a hypoechoic SOL noted in the fundic region measuring 36 mm x 33 mm. Endometrial thickness is normal.
both ovaries are atrophied.
Question: what is hypoechoic SOL ? is it recoverable by medicine or require operations ? is it serious ?

The ultrasound scan findings are explained in simple language below.
The uterus measures 90 x 48 x 47 mm and is slightly enlarged. The normal cut off for uterus length is 80 and 90 is slightly larger.
The hypoechoic space occupying lesion in fundic region measuring 36 x 33 mm refers most likely to a small fibroid. This is a benign condition ant not a concern at present size. If there is heavy bleeding then it can be due to the fibroid.
The size of fibroid is small at 36 x 33 mm and medications can be given for 3 months or more and watched for and changes in size. A review ultrasound scan must be done after 3 to 6 months to know and increase or decrease in size.
The ovaries being atrophied is an expected finding at middle age.
