What Does This X-ray Report Mean?

I went and got an X-ray after I dropped a huge can of dog food on my foot. The written report says. There is a widening of the third PIP joint with smooth irregular margin of the head of the maximal phalanx. What does this mean and is it necessary for me to make a doctors appt. this injury happened on 12/22/15 and after walking or standing on my for more than an hour. My foot start hurting really bad with a shooting pain to my middle toe

hi..x-ray finding suggest ni fracture in bone..
it just between spce widwn.
pain because of soft tisdue damage.
so no need for doctor app.
take rest..pain killer drugs.
chymoral forte is best in such cases as it relieve edema also.
