What Does This Pap Test Report Indicate?
My niece has got PAP test done. Report says:- Cytology smears in a PAP test show the presence of multiple superficial and intermediate squamous cells. Background shows sheets of polymorphs and cervical mucous. No endocervical cell seen. No atypical cell seen. Doctor what does it indicate?

There are different types of cells in the cervix. Squamous cells are normally found in some parts of the cervix, so the presence of these types of cells is fine.
Some women can have abnormal or atypical (not typical) squamous cells, which is not good. This is not the case for your niece, the report states that no atypical cells are seen.
Mucous is also expected in the cervical region.
The pap smear result is not concerning, it is normal.
