General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Madam,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern.

Let me give my opinion about your condition. About 8% of women (with no symptoms) between the ages of 25 and 40 have ovarian cysts larger than 2.5 cm. Most ovarian cysts are never noticed and resolve without women ever realizing that they are there. When a cyst causes symptoms, pain in the abdomen or pelvis is the most common one.
I would not recommend you immediately a treatment plan, since the majority of cysts disappear after a few weeks or months. Instead, I would advice you make an ultrasound test in a few weeks to check your condition.
Regarding your pain, I would suggest pain medications and rest which can be helpful to control your pain. I reassure you that the pain should diminish in a few days, although it sometimes takes longer.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health,
Dr. Ina Zaimi
