What Does This HCG Test Result Indicate?

Hi I am 28 years old have last LMP 17 Aug 2015. Done blood HCG test on 29 Sep 2015 which resulted 1060 mIU/ml. Subsequent to it, did home pregnancy test on 01 Oct 2015 early morning and a faint second line appeared along with one dark line. Went to doctor and doctor did scan with TVS Probe and summarises the report that Bulky Gravid Uterus with Thick endometrium and Increased Myometrial flow seen. Could be early pregnancy I repeat home pregnancy test on the following day 02 Oct 2015 at evening about 7 PM but that is negative. I again repeated home pregnancy test today early morning but a very very very faint second line seen this time. Am I pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Blood HCG levels of 1060 mIU/ml is definitely high and is indicative of pregnancy.
However, TVS Probe ultrasound scan report only mentions about endometrial thickness, myometrial flow and bulk gravid uterus only.
You need to visualize gestational sac and fetal pole to confirm the pregnancy by ultrasound. By 8 to 10 weeks, cardiac activity should be noted to say that the pregnancy is viable.
Since the repeat home pregnancy test is inconclusive, you need to confirm for gestational sac and fetal pole by ultrasound scan only to know weather you are pregnant or not.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
