Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would like to tell that deciding whether to go for an aortic valve replacement (AVR) or not requires a lot of considerations to be made on the basis of history, clinical examination as well as other tests, not just on the basis of echo report.

As mere the presence of aortic regurgitation, even when it is moderately severe, is not necessarily an indication for surgery. So my opinion to you is to go for second cardiologist opinion personally for proper evaluation and treatment plan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap
