What Does The Total Bilirubin Level Of 1.5mg/dl Suggest?

Hello Sir,I used to do blood test after every 6 months, last time when i did lab person told that they doubt of some Bilirubin count in my blood, so I tested it out and in the result Bilirubin(Total) = 1.5mg/dl, but i does'nt feel any of the symptoms of Jaundice, I have suffered from Jaundice some 7 years Back, guide me if theres any issue.

increased bilirubin presentation . Liver enzymes level not mentioned.

if liver enzymes are increased then you should visit your treating physician as your suffering from acute hepatitis. usually the cause is not worrysome but better to exclude certain causes of hepatitis.

you need to be tested for HBsAg, Anti HCV and if possible anti HAV.
after the results of these test, further management maybe adviced.
HAV is a common cause of acute hepatitis and self limited.
-"recheck liver enzymes after 4 to 6 weeks".

if only bilirubin level slightly increased then NO need to worry.
however, as a precautionary measure, you may get an abdominal ultrasound done to rule out any gall bladder pathology and also get a CBC test if your anemic.
