What Does The Mass In The Right Lung Mean?

HI, Im raj. i do have have a chrnoic cough from 3 months, initail appointment with ENT said that..there is no infection and it is because of some allergy. But last time i took chest x-ray, it says there is some mass in the right lung...wht it would be??

Hello

Mass in right lung may be due to many causes.It may be due to both benign or malignant reasons.
Mass may be in lung parenchyma,pleural origin etc.
Chest X-ray is helpful only in initial assessment.
You may need further investigations like contrast CT scan of thorax.
CT or Ultrasound guided FNAC may be needed to know its exact nature.It is very helpful in management.
So,it is too early to conclude anything.
You should go for further assessment.
