What Does The Knee MRI Report Indicate?

I had a fall. Decided to go see my Kaiser doctor and he ordered an MRI of my knee. Results were: complete MCL tear at femoral origin, partial ACL, no meniscus tear, advanced arthritis PF joint. Doctor said to wear a brace, no surgery needed. It has been 6 months since the fall and knee still hurts. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

You could consult an orthopedician for a reconstruction of your ACL and or MCL as well which should provide you with more stability to your joint.

As for the pain, follow the RICE protocol (rest, ice application, compression bandage, and elevation). The pain may be fresh due to the more recent injury, it should subside gradually.

Best wishes.
