What Does The Following Transvaginal Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Hello, I just got my results back from a pelvic/ transvaginal ultrasound due to abnormal uterine bleeding the last 3 months. I am having trouble interpreting the results. -It states - thickened endometrial stripe heterogeneously hypochoic centrally, cannot exclude small amount of complex fluid. Unremarkable ovaries. small to moderate amount of free fluid is noted in the pelvis. -There are no focal mymetrial abnormalities. Endometrial stripe measure 1.6 cm in thickness. The endometrial stripe appears heterogeneously hypoechoic centrally, cannot exclude small amount of complex fluid. No discrete masses are seen.
Small to moderate amount of free fluid is noted int he pelvis, probably physiologic. I am 31 years old. The scan was done about 3 days after my ovulation.
What do these results mean? Is there anything that is not normal. Thanks so much!

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The result suggest there is some altered characterisation of the endometrial stripe.
2.Which is usually hyper echoic in nature, and thickness of 16mm is very increased.
3.Depending on the age of the patient and possibilities of pregnancy with missed abortion can be considered.
4.Other possible cause can be endometrial infection / inflammation / growth should be considered.
5.A endometrial scraping for pathological evaluation will be definitive - but should be done after a followup scan in 10 days and if imaging repeats the same.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
