What Does The Following Pelvic Transvaginal Ultrasound Report Mean?
Pelvic Transvaginal Ultrasound: Clinical History: Post Menopausal LLQ (Left Lower Quadrant) pain The uterus measures 6.3*4.3*3.8cm. It is retroverted. The endometrium is 5.0mm. There is fluid in the endo cervical canal as well as the endometrium in the fundus of the uterus where there is an echogenic 11*10*5.0mm complex mass. There is no flow on Doppler within mass. Ovaries are not seen. There is no free fluid. Left adnexa is unremarkable. Post void residual is 50 cc. Should I worry about this?
Hi, I think you can get yourself examined by a gynecologist. Let her do a per speculum and per vaginum examination. According to the scan, there is some fluid in endo cervical as well as endometrial cavity which is not normal. If you are having any postmenopausal bleeding, then you should go for an endometrial biopsy. Hope I have answered your question. Regards Dr khushboo
