What Does The Following X Ray Result Indicate?

I recently had x-rays from a fall. My report says: Clinical history is remarkable for back pain. 3 views of lumbar spine were obtained. The alignment is anatomic. Diminished disc height is noted at L5-S1. Ventral marginal osteophytes are present. There is facet arthropathy at the lowest 2 lumbar levels. There is partial sacralization of the left L5 vertebra.

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest there is reduction in the size at the level of L5-S1 probable due to the degenerative disc disease.
2.As degenerative changes like osteophytes are seen in lower lumbar vertebrae.
3.And inflammatory changes noted at the lower lumbar vertebral / facet joints.
4.In this case the best treatment is back exercise - no relief then go for physiotherapy.
5.Best investigation of choice with spinal / back problems is MRI which gives detail condition of the disc, nerve, chord.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
