I am so concerned with the result of my grandson s x-ray result and it is: IMPRESSION: BILATERAL PULMONARY HYPERAERATION His previous doctor diagnosed him to have tuberculosis so he was given prescription for tb so the medicines were taken for 1 and half months. So what we did was to ask for second opinion and we went to the center in our baranggay and consulted a doctor and found out it was not tb and adviced him to stop taking the prescribed medicine now we are confused and we need help please.
Hello I have read your query. First of all don't worry. To diagnose if it is Tuberculosis or not there are certain blood tests and clinical diagnosis done. 1. Check if his weight is decreasing continously 2. See if he gets evening rise of temperature 3. Is his appetite less 4. Does he gets night sweat 5. Does he get tired easily
These all are cardinal features which we usually see in tubercular patient. For blood test go for ESR test and Montox test done. The test should be done empty stomach. Get these investigations done and get back to us. I hope this might help you. Thanks
