Hello,
bilirubin is a metabolic product of hemoglobin. Hemoglobin resides in the red blood cells. It is the molecule that carries oxygen. When red blood cells are destroyed (which happens normally every 100-120 days) hemoglobin is metabolized into bilirubin. Such slight elevations are not clinically significant. In other words, there is absolutely nothing for you to worry about.
Kind Regards!
