hello thank you for trusting HCM dear elevated amylase caused by pancreatic and non pancreatic problem. you know pancreatitis may cause hypeamylesemia. but non pancreatic problems like salivary gland swelling, ectopic pregnancy,appendicitis,diabetic Ketoacidosis, renal problems,alcohol use,mums,inflammatory bowel disease,malignancy of breast,lung, kidney etc.. nothing to worry,sometimes it may be due to idiopathic please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly .
