What Does The HCV Elisa Test Result Indicate?
Hi doctor,My father is a Diabetic patient for the past 7 yrs, he got a foot ulcer. We admitted him ina hospital. Last month we have taken a HCV test is negative. Again we have taken the test last week its positive ( in a rapid method). So the doctor suggest my dad to take HCV Elisa test. Result is 0.21. Kindly guide me whether its negative or positive. TIA

it can indicate hepatitis c. it has got window period so it is to be repeated.it is weakly positive. frequency in area is to be ascertained. it is positive between 21 to 30 years of age with positive result should be tested with hcvnulic acid test
