What Does Squamous Cells In Pap Smear Test Suggest?
hi i just got my pap smear result, and the microscopy shows mainly intermediate squamous cells, few superficial squamous cells, occasional squamous metaplastic cells occasional clusters of endocervical cells and few polymorphs. is this a normal result?

The interpretation of Pap test is as follows:
There is presence of mature squamous, intermediate squamous and metaplastic squamous cells. These all cells are normal and do not suggest any disease process.
There is presence of endocervical cells and few neutrophils.
Endocervical cells and few neutrophils can be seen in normal Pap smears and they do not suggest any disease process.
