What Does Sphenoidal Sinusitis In Scan Report Suggest?

my scan report....HRCT of the PNS performed on MD CT.Bilateral maxillary sinuses are clearEthmoidal air cells on both sides show mucosal thickening minimally on both sides.Sphenoid sinus shows subtle mucosal thickening.Spheno-ethmoidal recess is patent.Bilateral frontal sinuses are clear.Fronto-ethmoidal recesses are patent.Osteomeatal unit is patent on both sides.Nasal septum is in midline.Bilateral inferior turbinate hypertrophy is present.Both orbits are normal.Impression: * Mild bilateral ethmoidal sinusitis.* Sphenoidal sinusitis.* Bilateral inferior turbinate hypertrophy.

1.There is mucosal thickening seen in the sphenoidal and ethmoidal sinus - inflammatory reaction.
2.Bilateral inferior turbinate seen hyper trophied ( overgrowth / increased growth)
3.Rest of the findings are negative - normal findings.
4.In this case treatment will be - a course of antibiotic course will help.
