What Does Soreness Around The Vagina Indicate?

I have had a soreness on the outside of my vaginal lips. An ache of sorts. As if one had just had lots of intercourse, and I ve not. Lately there is a warm feeling around the outside of the lips as well. I also have a large amount of clear, odorless discharge. I am going for a pap smear on Thursday. But am trying to see if these are possible signs of an STD or cancer?

please be assured that we cannot think of a cancer now.
Dryness in vulva with itching ,hot flushes are the common symptoms during perimenopausal days,though i am not confirmed of your age.
More over discharge might be due to any fungal infection or irritation that can be treated easily with a topical or oral anti fungal agents.Yes please go ahead for the tests are these are always indicated,more over please take care of antiseptic wash and hygiene of the intimate areas.
