What Does Sore Throat, Fever And Pain In Chest After Having Endoscopy Mean?
I had an endoscopy done yesterday but I had a minor cold and a cough before hand. Now my symptoms are worse with a sore throat and a fever. I have chest pains which maybe due to the persistent couching. The dr s report says that the procedure was successful. Should I worry?

I understand your concern. During the process of endoscopy, we use local anesthetic substance. It may cause some irritant symptoms like cough and disturbance in throat. Nothing to worry about these symptoms.
Worsening of sore throat and fever may be incidental. You can try Tab. Amoxcillin twice daily for 5 days and B- Complex once daily for 5 days. Acetaminophen tablets if there is fever.
