What Does Small Fetal Pole Without Any Cardiac Pulsation Or Movement Indicate?

my wife is pregnent of 7 weeks and she has a pain in her abdomain or stomach.Doctor advised for susten 100 inj.in a week and anafortan tablet for pain,in scan report doctor said,asingle GS is seen present inside the uterus with a small fetal pole without any cardiac pulsation or movement.and in impression; early pregnancy. the viability can not be assessed at present. Kindly repeat sonography after 2 weeks for viability assessment.what i have to do now? plz suggest......

Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
You should do the same as instructed by her doctor i.e. repeat the Ultrasound for fetal viability in two weeks. Actually this 7 weeks is a grey area. If fetal heart beat is seen at this stage, it confirms viability, if not, you can't say any thing unless you wait for 2 more weeks & see again for fetal heart beat. So, hope for the best & follow your doctor.
