What Does Sharp Abdominal Pain Radiating To The Left Indicate?
My 12 year old daughter is having sharp pains in her abdomen that seems to be radiating to the left side a bit. She claims it feels better if she stays bent over. I m thinking it may be gas pains, but wanted to get a doctor s opinion. Thank you in advance for your
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sharp abdominal pain radiating to the left which seems to be due to disturbance of electrolytic balance of body. It could be due to food intolerance , food allergy , bacterial or viral infection , parasitic infection or inflammatory bowel disease. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. The symptoms you mention in query can also occur due to kidney problem like kidney stone . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like omeprazole along with loperamide. You should eat light and non spicy food. Avoid intake of outside food. You should eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana. Take oral rehydrating solution as well.Doctor may also refer you to nephrologist .
