Hello and welcome to HCM,
Bleeding from skin over labia after slight scratching could be due to thinning of the skin.
At the age of 53, I believe that you are post-menopausal.
After menopause, there is deficiency of estrogens in body and due to this there is thinning of skin of labia.
The skin is so this and fragile and blood vessels get injured on slightest trauma due to lack of support from surrounding connective tissues.
Local application of estrogen cream will help to maintain the integrity of the skin.

Thanks and take care
