What does all of this mean?? Reason for Exam: HEMATURI Radiological Report: History: Hematuria.Comparison: None.Technique: Axial CT scanning through the abdomen and pelvis without contrast was performe Findings: The visualized lung bases are clear. The liver is diminished in attenuation consistent with fatty infiltration. There has been prior cholecystectomy. The biliary tree is not dilated. There is right renal cortical atrophy with compensatory hypertrophy of the left kidney. There are tiny nonobstructing right renal calculi. Within the lower pole of the left kidney there is a nonobstructing calculus which measures approximately 1-1.2 cm. Smaller calculus is noted in the left renal pelvis and there are additional tiny left intrarenal calculi. There is a tiny calcific density in the left hemipelvis (series 2, image 132), which I suspect may represent a tiny ureteric calculus, however, this is not certain and there is no definite dilatation of the left upper renal tract. There is sigmoid diverticulosis without evidence of acute inflammatory change. The appendix is visualized and is negative. No acute or suspicious findings are otherwise noted without benefit of intravenous contrast material.Impression:1. Right renal cortical atrophy with compensatory hypertrophy of the left kidney 2. Bilateral nephrolithiasis, left greater than right.3. Tiny distal left ureteric calculus versus vascular calcification. The left upper renal tract does not appear dilated.4. Negative appendix.5. Sigmoid diverticulosis.6. Fatty infiltration of the liver. Status post cholecystectomy.
